Most people are good, whether they believe in nature, Allah, God, Jesus, Zeus, a Higher Power or nothing other than what they power of the human spirit.

Those of us who care about the world's children, global warming, the weak and sick, the elderly and vulnerable, and each other need to become today's leaders. One doesn't have to run for office, but if you can, do. One doesn't have to write political exposes, but again, if you can, write. One doesn't have to be a saint to join this group, but one has to care. If you care, please join us.

Without caring, kind people, the world is indeed a terrible place. Unfortunately, the most evil, selfish, narcissistic people seem to maintain the power to saturate us with crap. This group's purpose is to unite those of us with a good soul so that we can rise up against these oppressors, whomever and wherever they are, and bring some sanity and fairness back into our countries and our world.

Dignity for all people should be a right, which includes access to medical care, shelter, food, religious freedom and the freedom to be non-religious, as well as the opportunity for gainful employment. Those who cannot care for themselves should be cared for by the rest of us, and those with mental illness should be treated with the same respect, dignity and kindness as those with physical illness.

Equality for all people, regardless of gender, age, socio-economic status, sexual orientation or ethnicity or race should be a given with equal protections for all of us. Remember those famous words learned from the Holocaust. First 'They' will come for the other people and then 'They' will come for us.

Those spreading hate, war and terror should not have the loudest voice. Please use this group as a mechanism to connect with other good people, reinforce friendship and validate the concept that most people are good, given a chance.

This group is also a call for those of you who have not been politically active to become so and help us help all of us. As this group ICON suggests, the first step is mutual understanding and tolerance.
